Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal

NOTE:
Use care when handling the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. Damage to the ECT sensor will affect proper operation of the fuel injection system.
NOTE:
The numbers in parenthesis in removal and installation procedures refer to numbered components in referenced figure(s).
- Drain the engine coolant into appropriate container.
- Disconnect ECT sensor (2) harness connector (1), located next to the upper radiator hose on the cylinder head. See Fig 1 .
- Remove ECT sensor (2).
