EVAP Canister: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle.
  2. Disconnect On-Board Refueling Vapor Recovery (ORVR) vent line (1) from EVAP canister port by pinching both sides of the hose connector (1). See Fig 1 .
  3. Disconnect EVAP vapor line (1) from EVAP canister port by pinching both sides of hose connector (1). See Fig 2 .
  4. Disconnect 3 EVAP hoses (3) from EVAP canister (1). See Fig 3 .
  5. Disconnect EVAP pressure switching solenoid harness connector.
  6. Remove 3 bolts (2) and EVAP canister (1).
  7. Inspect EVAP purge system for carbon particle contamination before replacing EVAP canister.
