Activating System (Saturn, L Series)

  1. Ensure wheels are in straight ahead position. Turn ignition off and remove key. Ensure AIR BAG fuse is still removed from Body Control Module (BCM) fuse center.
  2. Connect left and right side curtain air bag Yellow 2-pin air bag connectors. Install CPA clips. Install "C" pillar trim panels. Coat "C" pillar shoulder belt fastener with Loctite 242 or equivalent. Tighten shoulder belt fastener to 26 ft. lbs. (35 N.m).
  3. Remove key from ignition switch. Ensure AIR BAG fuse is still removed from Body Control Module (BCM) fuse center. Install AIR BAG fuse in BCM fuse center. Staying well away from both front air bag inflator modules, turn ignition switch to ON position. Ensure AIR BAG warning light flashes 7 times, and then turns off. To complete installation, reverse removal procedures.
