Disabling System (Mustang)

  1. Record radio preset frequencies for reprogramming (if equipped). Disconnect negative battery cable. WAIT at least one minute for backup power supply to deplete stored energy.
  2. Remove driver air bag module. See DRIVER AIR BAG MODULE . Connect appropriate air bag simulator to clockspring connector at top of steering column (in place of air bag). See AIR BAG SIMULATOR .
  3. Open glove box. Press sides inward and lower glove box to floor. Remove passenger air duct (if necessary). Disconnect passenger side air bag module electrical connector. Connect appropriate air bag simulator to vehicle harness (in place of air bag). See AIR BAG SIMULATOR . Connect negative battery cable.
