Activating System (Focus)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute for backup power supply to deplete stored energy. Remove the seat belt pretensioner simulators from the vehicle harness. Connect seat belt pretensioner connectors to vehicle harness.
  2. Remove air bag simulator from clockspring connector at top of steering column. Install driver air bag module. See DRIVER AIR BAG MODULE . Remove air bag simulator from passenger air bag vehicle harness connector. Reconnect passenger air bag module connector. Install glove box.
  3. Remove air bag simulator from driver side air bag vehicle harness. Reconnect driver side air bag module connector. Repeat procedure for passenger side air bag connector.
  4. Reconnect negative battery cable. Recheck system operation. Perform SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . Reprogram radio preset frequencies and set clock.
