Side Mount: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the front transaxle mount through bolt. See Figure .
  3. Remove the rear transaxle mount through bolt. See Figure .
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Remove the battery box. See appropriate SERVICING article as follows:
    • For 2002 models, see BATTERY COOLING BOX under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in SERVICING - VUE (VT25-E) article.
    • For 2003 models, see BATTERY COOLING BOX under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in SERVICING - VUE (VT25-E) article.
  6. Support the powertrain assembly using a floor jack with a 2x6 block of wood.
  7. Remove the right engine mount-to-mount bracket bolts. See Figure .
  8. Remove the left transaxle mount-to-transaxle bolts. See Figure .
  9. Lower the engine in order to gain clearance for mount removal.
  10. Remove the left transaxle mount-to-side rail bolts. See Fig 1 .
  11. Remove the transaxle mount from the side rail.
