Removal & Installation

  1. Release the park brake.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.
  3. Remove the nut from the threaded end of the intermediate cable. See Figure.
  4. Disconnect the equalizer from the rear park brake cables.
  5. To install, connect the equalizer to the rear park brake cables.
  6. Install the nut to the threaded end of the intermediate cable. See Figure. Tighten the nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Remove the safety stands.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Adjust the park brake system. PARK BRAKE ADJUSTMENT  under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
