Function/Appearance Conditions

NOTE: If torque converter requires replacement, see REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - CENTURY & REGAL article.

If torque converter is discolored/overheated, replace the torque converter.
If broken/cracked flexplate, replace the torque converter.
If stripped converter bolt holes, replace the torque converter.
If torque converter pilot damaged, replace the torque converter.
If torque converter ballooning, replace the torque converter if end play exceeds .3 INCH (.7 mm) using Converter End Play Checker (J 35138).
