Ensure battery is fully charged and starter motor is in good operating condition. Engine should be at room temperature. Disconnect wiring from ignition module. Clean spark plug recesses with compressed air and remove spark plugs. Hold throttle valve in wide open position. For each cylinder, crank engine through 4 compression strokes. Record compression pressure from fourth revolution. Continue test for remaining cylinders. See ENGINE COMPRESSION SPECIFICATIONS table. Install and tighten spark plugs to 13 ft. lbs. (18 N.m).
