Fuel Level Sender: Removal

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Loosen fuel filler cap to relieve tank vapor pressure. Remove engine cover.
- Connect fuel pressure gauge to fuel pressure connection. Wrap a shop towel around fitting to avoid spillage. Relieve fuel system pressure into approved container.
- Drain fuel tank. Remove fuel tank. Remove fuel sender assembly. Disconnect fuel pump and fuel level sender electrical connectors. See Fig 1 . Remove fuel level sender retaining clip. Squeeze locking tangs and remove fuel level sender.
