Transfer Case Switch & Transfer Case Shift Control Module: Removal

  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) cluster bezel. See Fig 1.
  2. Using a flat-tipped screwdriver, gently pry the retaining clips open on the housing.
  3. Slide out the selector switch until the electrical connector are accessible.
  4. Disconnect the selector switch electrical connectors (2 and 3).
  5. Remove the selector switch from the housing. See Fig 2.
  6. Disconnect the shift control module harness connectors. See Fig 3.
  7. Unsnap and remove the shift control module from the bracket. See Fig 4.
