Action Taken When DTC Sets

PCM illuminates Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL).
PCM records operating conditions at the time the diagnostic fails. This information is stored in freeze frame buffer.
PCM enters FAIL SAFE FUNCTION in which coolant temperature will default to 176°F (80°C).
