Vehicle Speed Sensor: Installation

  1. Apply transmission assembly lubricant to the VSS "O" ring.
  2. Install the VSS into the transaxle case. Secure the VSS (2) with the retaining bolt (1). Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect the VSS electrical connector. See Figure .
  4. Connect the negative (-) battery cable.
