Manual Selector: Installation

  1. Install the manual selector into the vehicle. See Figure . Secure the manual selector with 4 nuts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Connect the manual selector electrical connectors. See Figure .
  3. Install the shift select cable into the shift lever plate. See Figure .
  4. Connect the shift select cable to the manual selector lever. See Figure .
  5. Install the park lock cable to the shift lever plate. See Figure .
  6. Connect the park lock cable to the manual selector lever. See Figure .
  7. Perform the following procedures to install the center instrument trim panel:
    1. Connect the passenger seat belt indicator electrical connector, the rear defogger switch electrical connector, the hazard warning switch electrical connector and the A/C switch electrical connector.
    2. Install the I/P accessory center trim plate (1) to the I/P assembly. Ensure that the retaining clips are fully engaged. See Figure .
  8. Perform the following procedures to install the instrument compartment:
    1. Install the instrument panel compartment (2) to the instrument panel. Secure the compartment until the lower tabs engage (4). See Figure .
    2. Compress each side of the I/P compartment, until the upper tabs (1) engage.
    3. Install the screw (3).
    4. Close the instrument panel compartment door.
  9. Perform the following procedures to install the front floor console:
    1. Connect the 2 cigar lighter electrical connectors and the accessory power receptacle electrical connectors.
    2. Install the front floor console trim plate (2) to the front floor console assembly. Ensure that the retaining clips are fully engaged. See Figure .
    3. Install the center screw (1) and the center A/C control knob (3).
  10. Connect the negative battery cable.
