Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Verify there are no Evaporative Emission (EVAP) DTCs set.
  2. Engine idling at operating temperature. Observe the appropriate scan tool HO2S 1 Lambda parameter. Cycle the throttle from idle to wide open throttle 3 times within 5 seconds. The parameter should react immediately to the action.
  3. Operate the vehicle within the conditions for running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that are captured in the Freeze Frame/Failure Records Data List.
