Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Inspect for DTCs P0A45, P0A46, P0A79, P0BFE, P0C04, P0C08, P0C0E, P0C18, P0C4F, P0C57, P0C58, P0C61, P0C62, P1AFE, P1B04, or P1B10.
  2. Repair the following conditions if observed:
NOTE: If a seized or binding drive axle is observed, internal transmission damage may have occurred.
    • Seized or binding drive axle
    • Seized or binding braking system
  3. Attempt to drive the vehicle and retest for DTC P0C1A.
    • If the DTC resets and the vehicle makes no attempt to crank the engine, program the PIM with the latest software version and recheck for DTCs. If the DTC resets after programming or if the PIM already contains the latest software version, replace the PIM.
    • If the engine initially starts but the vehicle later stalls, replace the drive motor generator stator assembly.
