Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Inspect for DTCs P0A3F, P0A40, P0A78, P0BFD, P0C01, P0C05, P0C0B, P0C17, P0C4E, P0C52, P0C53, P0C5C, P0C5D, P1AF8, P1B03, or P1B0F.
  2. Inspect for the following conditions:
NOTE: If a seized condition is observed, internal transmission damage may have occurred.
    • Seized or binding engine
    • Seized or binding accessory drive belt
    • If a seized or binding condition is observed, repair as required.
  3. Attempt to drive the vehicle and retest for DTC P0C19.
    • If the DTC resets and the vehicle makes no attempt to crank the engine, program the PIM with the latest software version and recheck for DTCs. If the DTC resets after programming or if the PIM already contains the latest software version, replace the PIM.
    • If the engine initially starts but the vehicle later stalls, replace the drive motor generator stator assembly.
