Circuit/System Testing (Non-Hybrid)
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the AT inline 20-way connector and install the J 44152 on the transmission side.
- Measure the resistance between the ISS high signal circuit terminal S and the ISS low signal circuit terminal V. The resistance should be between 625-835 ohms.
- If not within the specified range test the internal transmission harness / ISS.
- Install the J 44152 on the harness side.
- Disconnect the TCM connector.
- Test for less than 10 ohms between terminal S of the jumper harness and terminal 3 of the TCM connector.
- If greater than the specified value, check circuit for a Open/High resistance.
- Test for less than 10 ohms between terminal V of the jumper harness and terminal 26 of the TCM connector.
- If greater than the specified value, check circuit for a Open/High resistance.
- Test for infinite resistance between the jumper harness terminal S and ground, and between terminal V and ground.
- If not the specified value, check each circuit for a short to ground.
- If all circuits test normal replace the TCM.
IMPORTANT:
Additional DTCs may set when disconnecting the automatic transmission inline 20-way connector.
