Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, open the hood to disable the Auto-Stop function.
- Ignition ON, verify the scan tool hood position parameter displays Open.
- If the hood position does not display Open, refer to DTC P254F .
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the fuel pump control module (FPCM) harness connector.
- Ignition ON, test for 2-3 V between the enable circuit terminal 13 and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the enable circuit for a short to ground, or an open/high resistance. If the circuit/connections test normal, replace the ECM.
- If greater than the specified range, test the enable circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit/connections test normal, replace the ECM.
- Command the fuel pump ON and OFF with a scan tool. The DMM should transition from 2-3 V when OFF, to greater than 10 V when commanded ON.
- If the circuit voltage does not correspond to the specified values, replace the ECM
- If all circuits test normal, replace the FPCM.
