Circuit/System Verification

  1. Engine operating, increase the engine speed to 1,300 RPM for at least 10 seconds. Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. DTC P061A should not set.
      NOTE:
      • If any UXXXX DTCs are set, diagnose those first.
      • The scan tool Engine Speed Control function may cause this DTC to set.
    • If DTC P061A failed this ignition, refer to Diagnostic Starting Point - Hybrid Controls .
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
