Circuit System Verification

- Ignition OFF, remove the fuel filler cap.
- Ignition ON, observe the FTP sensor parameter with a scan tool. Verify the FTP sensor is at 0 inches H2O.
- If not the specified value refer to DTC P0452 or P0453 .
- Install the fuel filler cap. Ignition ON, command the EVAP purge solenoid to 50 % with a scan tool. You should hear an audible click.
- If the EVAP purge solenoid does not respond to the scan tool commands, refer to DTC P0443, P0458, or P0459 .
- Command the EVAP vent valve ON and OFF with a scan tool. You should hear an audible click.
- If the EVAP vent valve does not respond to the scan tool commands, refer to DTC P0449, P0498, or P0499 .
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
