Conditions for Running the DTCs

P0137 and P0157 Condition 1

• DTC P0036, P0037, P0038, P0056, P0057, or P0058, is not set.
• The engine speed is greater than 25 RPM.
• The ignition voltage is between 10-18 volts.
• The HO2S 2 is at operating temperature for greater than 90 seconds.
• The engine coolant temperature is warmer than 10°C (50°F).
• The calculated exhaust temperature is warmer than 700°C (1,292°F), or the HO2S 2 heater is commanded ON to greater than 50 percent.
• DTCs P0137 and P0157 run continuously once the above conditions are met for greater than 10 seconds.

P0137 and P0157 Condition 2

• DTC P0036, P0037, P0038, P0056, P0057, or P0058, P0461, P0462, P0463, or P0464 is not set.
• The engine is operating for less than 5 seconds.
• The engine coolant temperature during the last ignition cycle was warmer than 60°C (140°F).
• The engine coolant temperature is colder than 40°C (104°F).
• The ignition voltage is between 10-18 volts.
• The vehicle is not out of fuel.
• DTCs P0137 and P0157 run once during a cold start once the above conditions are met for greater than 65 seconds, 600 seconds if the fuel level is less than 12 percent.

P0138, P0140, P0158 and P0160

• DTC P0036, P0037, P0038, P0056, P0057, or P0058 is not set.
• The engine speed is greater than 25 RPM.
• The ignition voltage is between 10-18 volts.
• The HO2S 2 heater is commanded ON for greater than 5 seconds.
• The engine coolant temperature is greater than 10°C (50°F).
• DTCs P0137 and P0157 run continuously once the above conditions are met for greater than 65 seconds.
