Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the SDGM harness connector X2 at the SDGM, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the ignition circuit terminal 20 and ground.
    • If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit terminal 20 for a short to voltage or a Run/crank relay circuit concern.
  2. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminal 20 and ground.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground, an open/high resistance, or a Run/crank relay circuit concern.
  3. If all circuits test normal, replace the SDGM.
