Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the CMP actuator solenoid valve O-ring seals with clean engine oil.
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the intake CMP actuator solenoid valve (2) and bolt, if required.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the exhaust CMP actuator solenoid valve (1) and bolt, if required.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  6. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (2, 3) to the appropriate CMP actuator solenoid valve.
  7. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  8. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
