Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the park brake cable eyelet (1) from the park brake actuator.
  2. Compress the park brake cable conduit spring.
  3. Install the park brake cable (2) to the mounting bracket.

    Ensure the locking tabs on the park brake cable conduit are fully deployed.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  5. Install the park brake cable bracket bolt (1) and nut (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt and nut to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  7. Install the park brake cable bracket bolt (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  9. Connect the left rear park brake cable (1) or the right rear park brake cable (2) to the park brake cable equalizer.
  10. Adjust the park brake. Refer to Parking Brake Adjustment .
  11. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  12. Install the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  13. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
