Installation Procedure

  1. Install the brake pedal assembly to the dash panel reinforcement plate.
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the brake pedal bracket nuts (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the instrument panel tie bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement .
  6. Install the brake pedal bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  8. Connect the brake booster pushrod from the brake pedal pivot pin.
  9. Install the brake booster pushrod retainer nut (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  10. Install the stop lamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Replacement .
  11. Install the accelerator pedal position sensor. Refer to Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Replacement .
  12. Install the driver knee bolster reinforcement. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Reinforcement Replacement .
