Installation Procedure

  1. Install the brake delay valve.
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the 2 brake delay valve bolts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the secondary brake pipe outlet fitting (1) at the brake delay valve.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  6. Tighten the secondary brake pipe fitting at the BPMV.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  8. Connect the primary brake pipe outlet fitting (1) at the brake delay valve.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  9. Tighten the primary brake pipe fitting at the BPMV.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  11. Connect the secondary brake pipe inlet fitting (1) at the brake delay valve.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  12. Tighten the secondary brake pipe fitting at the master cylinder.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  14. Connect the primary brake pipe outlet fitting (1) at the brake delay valve.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  15. Tighten the primary brake pipe fitting at the master cylinder pressure sensor mounting block.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  17. Connect the brake delay valve electrical connector (1).
  18. Install the radiator surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  19. Install the 12V battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  20. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)  or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
