RECIRCULATION Door: Removal

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system (if equipped). See RECOVERY, EVACUATING & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir or the surge tank. Remove the battery from vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors. Remove the accumulator (if equipped). Remove the evaporator tube from the evaporator. Remove the screws from the evaporator front cover.
  3. Remove the evaporator front cover. Separate the case halves. Remove the recirculation door actuator and the linkage. Remove the recirculation door from the evaporator case. See Fig 1.
