Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine splash shield.
  2. Remove the right side engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side .
  3. Completely remove the lower engine mount bracket bolt.
  4. Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise to release the drive belt tension.
  5. Slide the drive belt off of the generator pulley (1).
  6. Slowly release the drive belt tensioner.
  7. Remove the drive belt from the accessory drive pulleys.
