Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery box. Refer to Battery Box Replacement .
  2. Remove the range selector cable bracket. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Bracket Replacement .
  3. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture for the 3.5L LZ4 engine or Engine Support Fixture for the 3.6L LZ7 engine.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  5. Remove the front transmission mount thru bolt.

  6. Remove the rear transmission mount thru bolt (1).
  7. Lower the vehicle.

  8. Remove the transmission mount to transmission bolts.

  9. Remove the transmission mount to frame rail bolts (2).
  10. Using the engine support, lower the transmission enough to provide clearance for the left transmission mount.
  11. Remove the left transmission mount (1).
