Heater Coolant Pump Replacement (HP5)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill With HP5) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill Without HP5) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill With HP5) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill Without HP5)
  2. Remove the heater outlet hoses connected to the heater coolant pump. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LZ4)  or Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LE5)  or Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LAT)  or Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LY7)  or Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (HP5 Pump to Engine)  or Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (HP5 Pump to Heater Core) 
  3. Disconnect the heater coolant pump electrical connector.
1 Heater Coolant Pump Bolt
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  10 N.m (88 lb in)
