Thermal Expansion Valve Replacement (L66)

Preliminary Procedures Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging . Remove the air cleaner duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement .
1	Hose A/C Evaporator Nut NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Hose A/C Evaporator Nut Tip: Remove the hoses from the thermal expansion valve (TXV) and position a side. Tighten: 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
3	Sealing Washer Tip: Remove and discard the seal. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .
4	Sealing Washer Tip: Remove and discard the seal. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .
5	TXV Bolts Tighten: 8 N.m (71 lb in)

7	A/C Evaporator Seal Tip: Remove and discard the seal. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
8	A/c Evaporator Seal Tip: Remove and discard the seal. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
