Low Stall Speed

Low Stall Speed

Condition Action
DEFINITION: Poor acceleration; flares on start-off in the D, I and R positions; stall speed test results are low or below specification
  • TCC solenoid valve inoperative
  • Torque converter one-way clutch inoperative
  • Torque converter one-way clutch slipping
  • Engine output low
  • Engine throttle valve closed
  • Lock-up clutch piston inoperative
  • Lock-up shift valve inoperative
  • Inspect for a stuck lock-up valve in the valve body.
  • Perform an engine output/diagnostic test to determine if the engine is operating to specification.
