Installation Procedure

    CAUTION: To avoid personal injury, only remove the tensioner shipping clip when the tensioner is properly mounted to the engine and the accessory drive belt is in place and properly routed.
  1. Position the drive belt tensioner (1).
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the drive belt tensioner bolts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  4. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  5. Remove the tensioner shipping clip with a suitable pry bar and discard.
