Installation Procedure

Clean and block at the water pump mating surface.
Install a new water pump O-seal to the water pump.
Install the water pump assembly.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the water pump bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the water pump bolts to 12 N.m (18 lb in).
Install the timing belt cover. Refer to Timing Belt Cover Replacement .
Fill the coolant system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill) .
