Circuit Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

This diagnostic monitors the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve position sensor. The position sensor is mounted within the EGR valve and is part of the EGR valve assembly. A 5-volt reference circuit, a low reference circuit, and a signal circuit are used by the powertrain control module (PCM) to determine the EGR valve position. If the PCM detects the EGR valve position sensor signal voltage is pulled above a calibrated value, this DTC sets.
