Removal Procedure

  1. Using a scan tool, retrieve the percentage of remaining engine oil. Record the remaining engine oil life.
  2. Fig 1: View Of Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

  3. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (2.2L (L61) and 3.5L (L66))
  4. Disconnect the wiring harness.
  5. Depress the retaining tab and remove the powertrain control module (PCM).
  6. Remove the PCM from the housing.
