Installation Procedure

  1. Apply a small amount of the anti-seize compound SA P/N 21485279, or equivalent, to the threads of the heated oxygen sensor 1.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the heated oxygen sensor 1 using the J 39194-C  .

    Tighten:  Tighten the oxygen sensor to 44 N.m (33 lb ft).

  5. Connect the bank 1 heated oxygen sensor 1 harness connector (1). Make sure the locking tab is in the full closed position.
  6. Start the engine and make sure no exhaust leaks exist.
