Removal Procedure

  1. Turn ignition OFF.
  2. IMPORTANT: Engine coolant must be drained below the level of the engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT) sensor. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill) .
  3. Disconnect the ECT sensor harness connector.
  4. Remove the ECT.
