Removal Procedure

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the front lower air deflector.

Disconnect the O2 sensors (1, 2).
Remove the exhaust manifold pipe. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Pipe Replacement (3.5L (L66)) .
Remove the converter nuts.
Position the radiator assembly forward enough for the converter removal clearance.

Remove the catalytic converter.
