Installation Procedure

Install a NEW catalytic converter to exhaust manifold gasket onto the manifold studs.
Install the catalytic converter.
Install the catalytic converter rubber isolator to the hanger.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

Install the catalytic converter to the muffler assembly and install the nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
Install the bank 2 HO2S. Refer to one of the following:
- Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 Replacement for the 2.2L engine
- Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 Replacement for the 2.4L engine
