Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the fuel level sensors.
  2. Ignition ON, verify that the scan tool Fuel Level parameter is less than 7.6 liters (2 gallons)
    • If greater than 7.6 liters, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM/PCM.
  3. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the fuel level sensors.
