Channel Plate and Gasket Removal

  1. Remove the ten channel plate bolts (8 and 25).
  2. NOTE: Pry on the channel plate near locating dowel pins (45) to prevent damage to sealing surfaces.
  3. Remove the channel plate assembly (27). Keep the following components with the channel plate:
    • The drive sprocket to channel plate thrust washer (34)
    • The three accumulator pistons (29)
    • The manual valve (800)
    • The detent lever spring (804) and bolt (805)
  4. Remove and discard the channel plate to case gasket (28).
