Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the drive axle assembly. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement (Non Hybrid) or Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement (Hybrid) .
  3. For right side seal, remove exhaust front pipe. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Pipe Replacement (3.5L (L66)) .

  4. Using J 45000  , remove the wheel drive shaft oil seal from the transmission case. See Special Tools .
