Removal Procedure

  1. Inspect the bearing for wear and rough rotation. If the bearing is OK, removal is not necessary.
  2. Place a shaft protector (3) between transfer output shaft (913) and SA9211T-2  (1) in order to prevent damaging the shaft. See Special Tools .
  3. Using DT 46424  (1), J 22912-B  (2), and the shaft protector (3), remove the transfer case input gear with shaft front bearing (914) from the transfer case input gear assembly (913). See Special Tools .
