Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  1. Install the starter motor and bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).

  2. Install the engine wiring harness lead (2) to the starter motor.
  3. Install the engine wiring harness to starter motor S terminal nut (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 5 N.m (4 lb in).

  4. Install the positive battery cable lead (1) to the starter motor.
  5. Install the positive battery cable to starter motor nut (4).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  6. Unsecure and position the generator control module coolant pump.
  7. Install the generator control module coolant pump to the oil pan. Ensure that the anti-rotation tab is inserted into the hole in the oil pan.
  8. Install the generator control module coolant pump bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  9. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the generator control module coolant pump.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
