Installation Procedure

  1. Position the recliner mechanism to the seat cushion frame.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the recliner fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Position the driver side seat back assembly to the seat cushion frame and recliner mechanism.
  6. Install the inboard side fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  7. Lower the seat back trim cover.

  9. Connect the J-hook retainer on the seat back trim cover.
  10. Install the outboard seat back bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  11. Position the passenger side seat back.
  12. Install the inboard bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  13. Lower the seat back trim cover.
  14. Connect the J-hook retainer on the seat back trim cover.
  15. Install the outboard seat back bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  17. Install the shoulder belt anchor plate and the bolt to the recliner assembly.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  18. Ensure that the seat belt webbing is not twisted.
  19. Verify proper operation of the seat belt.

  21. Connect the recliner cables to both rear seat backs.
  22. Install the rear seat assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement .
