Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the tow hook to the impact bar, ensuring that the locating pin is properly indexed to the impact bar.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the bolt which retains the tow hook to the impact bar.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb.ft).

  3. Install the impact bar. Refer to IMPACT BAR REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER in Bumpers.
  4. Install the fascia. Refer to FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (CHEVROLET, GMC) or FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (OLDSMOBILE) in Bumpers.
  5. Install the grille. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT (GMC) or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (OLDSMOBILE) or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (CHEVROLET) in Exterior Trim.
