Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the Input shaft seal to input shaft.
  2. Install the following to the torque converter:
    1. 2.1 Install the torque converter seal to transmission.
    2. 2.2 Install the converter seal bolts to transmission.

      Tighten 

      Tighten the torque converter seals bolts to 3 N.m (26 lb in).

  3. Install the torque converter (1) to the transmission. Push the torque converter into position while rotating. The torque converter must be fully seated.
  4. Install the transmission. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - A/T (FWD) .
