Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the front transaxle bracket and bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the transaxle bracket bolts to 64 N.m (47 lb ft).

  2. Install the insulator to the mount bracket.
  3. Install the front transaxle mount through bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the transaxle mount through bolt to 52 N.m (38 lb ft).

  4. Install the 2 bolts to the front transaxle mount.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the front transaxle mount bolts to 39 N.m (29 lb ft).

  5. Install the left hand splash shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT - ENGINE - LEFT in Body Front End.
  6. Install the right hand splash shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT - ENGINE - RIGHT in Body Front End.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Remove the engine support fixture.
